All eyes now on construction of Unity Mall in Sector 9 of Avadh Shilpgram

Lucknow: Under CM Yogi’s leadership, extensive plans are underway to develop world-class infrastructure and provide excellent civic amenities in the state. In this regard, construction work on three Unity malls is underway in Uttar Pradesh, with Lucknow, Agra, and Varanasi being the main locations.

Notably, in Lucknow, the construction of Unity Mall in Sector 9 of Avadh Shilpgram is progressing steadily, and the state government has expedited the appointment process of the Project Management Consultant (PMC) agency. Starting this process, the Planning Department has issued a tender to ensure the way for work allocation.

The construction process will be accelerated by determining the PMC

The Planning Department will appoint a PMC to oversee the construction processes of Unity Mall in Sector 9 of Avadh Shilpgram, which will play a crucial role in execution. The PMC’s regular monitoring and timely reports through Request for Proposal (RFP) will not only ensure quality assessment of the project’s construction activities but also streamline tracking and action based on the same.

The tender process has commenced through Request for Proposal (RFP), and implementation is expected in the first week of July. Post implementation, the consultancy must submit architectural designs within 75 days, which upon approval, will complete all construction work within 18 months. A Defect Liability Period (DLP) of 36 months will also be applicable during this period.

The project will complete various structural works for the construction and development of Unity Mall. This includes the construction of creative indoor spaces, proper space planning, and fulfilling diverse functional requirements as per needs. Ensuring high quality with minimal maintenance, the integrated design will encompass electrical, mechanical, and other services.

Complying with environmental standards, the project will incorporate green buildings, excellent ventilation, climate-friendly architecture, wastewater recycling, water conservation and rainwater harvesting along with water and solid waste management.

According to the development plan of Unity Mall, construction will commence for 200 non-AC and 34 AC shops within the premises. These shops will be allocated on a lease for 30 years.

Additionally, Unity Mall will feature an exhibition hall, multipurpose hall, food court, air-conditioned atrium, fire exits, and all other construction works will be completed. The entire project, costing more than Rs 60 crores, will be completed through extensive expenditure.
