Lucknow: The poetry collection Ek Deepak Sab Jalayen by Yogendra Nath Dwivedi was launched at the Kaifi Azmi Academy. The foreword of the book has been written by Dr. Kumar Vishwas.
On this occasion, poet Yogendra Nath Dwivedi, lyricist Ramayan Dhar, senior banker and the poet’s son Nilesh Dwivedi, and Dastango Himanshu Bajpai were present, along with Deepesh Raj, Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Lucknow Circle, as the chief guest.
At the beginning of the program, writer Hafeez Kidwai highlighted the significance of the Kaifi Azmi Academy. He said, “The release of a poetry book is most appropriate at a place where the essence of poetry exists. In that sense, this program is being held at exactly the right place.” Following this, Nilesh Dwivedi spoke about his father and poet Yogendra Nath Dwivedi’s poetry. He said that it was his father’s literary interest that instilled in him a creative ability. He also recited a poem dedicated to his father.
After this, chief guest CGM of State Bank of India, Deepesh Raj, felicitated the poet on behalf of State Bank. On the occasion, Deepesh Raj said, “It is a matter of pride for us that Yogendra Nath ji has been associated with State Bank.”

Then, lyricist Ramayan Dhar mesmerized the audience with his songs. He said that it would be more appropriate to call this occasion not a book launch, but the “inauguration of the poet’s light.”
Subsequently, the poet himself recited poems from his collection Ek Deepak Sab Jalayen. Several poems like Bhagirath Yatna, Milan Yamini, etc., were greatly appreciated by the audience. Speaking about his journey, Yogendra Nath Dwivedi shared, “I wanted to become an IAS officer. When I couldn’t, I joined a bank, then went into politics. But through all of it, poetry saved me and I kept poetry alive.” The poet also said that in his early days, he was deeply influenced by Gopal Das Neeraj.
The poet’s son, Nilesh Dwivedi, also recited his father’s poems. At the end of the program, Dastango Himanshu Bajpai, who was anchoring the event, recited his famous poems written on Lucknow. Numerous officials from SBI, along with many literature lovers, were present on the occasion.
