Minister Reviews Revenue Department Performance, Emphasizes Transparency, Technology, and Swift Disposal of Pending Cases
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Minister of State (Revenue) Surendra Diler chaired a high-level review meeting of the Revenue Department at the Annexe Building in Lucknow, stressing the need for greater transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric governance in revenue administration.
The meeting focused on assessing the progress of various departmental schemes, development initiatives, and public service delivery mechanisms. Senior officials from the Revenue Council, Relief Commissioner’s Office, Consolidation Department, Land Acquisition Directorate, and other associated agencies participated in the review.
Focus on Quick Resolution of Public Grievances
A detailed discussion was held on land-related disputes, consolidation proceedings, land acquisition projects, updating of revenue records, and the disposal of pending cases. Minister Diler directed officials to ensure that all departmental functions are carried out with transparency, quality, and adherence to prescribed timelines.
He instructed officers to expedite the resolution of long-pending matters and give priority to issues directly affecting the public.
Citizen-Friendly and Technology-Driven Governance
Highlighting the state government’s commitment to administrative reforms, Diler said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, continuous efforts are being made to transform the Revenue Department into a technology-enabled, transparent, and citizen-friendly institution.

“Our objective is to ensure that people do not have to make unnecessary visits to government offices for the resolution of their issues. Every revenue-related service should be delivered within the stipulated timeframe,” he said.
The minister emphasized the increased use of technology and digital systems to improve service delivery, reduce delays, and enhance accountability across the department.
Strengthening Good Governance
During the meeting, officials presented updates on the status of ongoing schemes, departmental achievements, and pending cases. The review also examined areas requiring faster implementation and better inter-departmental coordination.
Diler directed officials to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and maintain a proactive approach toward public service delivery. He noted that efficient and transparent revenue administration is essential for strengthening good governance and ensuring public trust in government institutions.
The meeting concluded with instructions to accelerate pending work, improve coordination among departments, and enhance the overall quality of services provided to citizens.
