Uttar Pradesh Minister Addresses Builders Association of India Meeting in New Delhi

Infrastructure Development, Innovation and Industry Collaboration in Focus

New Delhi/Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi attended the Managing Committee and General Council meeting of the Builders Association of India (BAI), Uttar Pradesh Chapter, as the Chief Guest at Leela Ambience Convention Hotel in New Delhi.

The meeting brought together industry leaders, construction professionals, and stakeholders to discuss strategies for accelerating infrastructure development, addressing contemporary challenges in the construction sector, ensuring quality and timely project execution, and promoting the adoption of modern technologies in real estate and infrastructure development.

Addressing the gathering, Nandi emphasized the critical role of the construction industry in driving economic growth and development.

“Construction is the foundation of progress for any state and nation. Roads, bridges, industrial parks, housing projects, and other infrastructure facilities create the framework for sustainable development and economic expansion,” he said.

The minister highlighted the Uttar Pradesh Government’s efforts under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to transform the state into one of India’s leading economic powerhouses. He noted that large-scale infrastructure initiatives are contributing significantly to investment, employment generation, and industrial growth across the state.

Nandi stated that the government remains committed to creating a transparent, investor-friendly, and business-oriented environment for industries, builders, contractors, and investors. He pointed to the rapid development of expressways, defence corridors, industrial corridors, logistics parks, and smart infrastructure projects as examples of the state’s growth-oriented approach.

“The partnership between the government and organizations associated with the construction sector is essential for achieving long-term development goals. Through collective efforts and active participation from industry stakeholders, Uttar Pradesh is well-positioned to emerge as a major growth engine for the nation,” he said.

He further noted that constructive suggestions and feedback from industry representatives are valuable in shaping policies that promote ease of doing business and encourage sustainable infrastructure development.

The meeting also served as a platform for deliberations on emerging trends, technological innovations, project management practices, and policy measures aimed at strengthening the construction ecosystem and improving execution standards.

Among those present were BAI President Ravindra Tyagi, Vice Presidents R. Prakash, V. Satyamurthy and Kaushal Kumar Singh, General Secretary Aniruddh, Treasurer Jai Prakash Bhatia, Uttar Pradesh Chapter President Sanjay Tyagi, Organising Committee Chairman Arun Sahay, Delhi Jal Kendra Chairman Vijay Kumar Bansal, Board of Trustees Chairman and former President Lal Chandra Sharma, programme coordinator Usma, and several other distinguished members of the association.

The discussions underscored the importance of collaboration between policymakers and industry stakeholders in building modern infrastructure and supporting India’s long-term economic development goals.
