Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) has announced the commencement of the admission process for its B.Tech programmes for the academic session 2026-27. According to the university administration, admissions will be granted on the basis of JEE Main scores and prescribed eligibility criteria.
As per the notification issued by the university, the online registration and course preference-filling process will begin on June 17, 2026, and continue until July 8, 2026. Interested candidates will be required to complete their applications through the university’s admission portal.
The registration fee has been fixed at ₹1,000 for candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories. For Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, the registration fee has been set at ₹500.
Admissions will be offered to a total of 150 seats across five engineering disciplines under BBAU. These include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical & Automobile Engineering. Each department has been allotted 30 seats.
The university administration has clarified that after the completion of admissions through JEE Main, any vacant seats will be filled in accordance with the university’s reservation policy using CUET scores. Admissions to the remaining vacant seats through CUET merit will be notified separately at a later stage.
University officials have advised aspiring candidates to regularly visit the university’s official website for updates, admission schedules, and other important announcements related to the admission process.
The announcement is expected to provide engineering aspirants with another significant opportunity to secure admission to one of the region’s prominent central universities.
