Gonda: The district unit of the Youth Pharmacist Federation staged a demonstration at the Gonda Collectorate, seeking action on four key demands concerning pharmacists’ employment and service conditions.
Led by district president Rohit Mishra, the delegation submitted a four-point memorandum addressed to the District Magistrate to Naib Tehsildar Mohammad Riyaz, urging the administration to resolve the pending issues at the earliest.

The federation demanded mandatory appointment of pharmacists at all Ayushman Bharat and Ayushman Arogya Mandir centres where Community Health Officers (CHOs) are posted. It also sought a time-bound policy to regularise all contractual pharmacists working in Uttar Pradesh, immediate recruitment against vacant pharmacist posts in the Health Department, and the creation of pharmacist positions at all sub-centres across the state.
Mishra said pharmacists play a crucial role in healthcare delivery and medicine distribution. He stressed that every facility responsible for storing and dispensing medicines should have a pharmacist to ensure proper drug storage, safe distribution and appropriate guidance for patients.

He urged the state government and administration to take an early decision on the demands.
District vice-president Anshuman Mishra, Sanjay Awasthi, treasurer Sanat Kumar Pandey, Gopal Sahu, Adarsh Shukla, Anurag Tiwari, Ankit Tiwari, Brijbhushan Pandey, Vishal Shukla, Raju Vishwakarma, Mahesh Sahu, Alok Mishra, Himanshu Shukla and Ayat Ansari were among those present.
