Bareilly: Mahima Chand, a resident of Gorakhpur, assumed charge as the new Finance Officer of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, on Tuesday. She succeeds Vinod Kumar, who had been handling the responsibilities of Finance Officer.
After taking charge, Chand paid a formal courtesy visit to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anil Kumar Rai and also met Registrar Mahendra Kumar Singh. The Vice-Chancellor welcomed her to the university and conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure.
Speaking about her priorities, Chand said financial transparency, timely budgeting and efficient utilisation of resources would remain key areas of focus. She added that strengthening financial management would be important for providing better support to the university’s academic and research activities.
Prof. Rai welcomed Chand to the university and expressed confidence that her experience and working approach would further strengthen the institution’s financial administration. He also said improved financial management would contribute to stronger support for academic and research initiatives.
The appointment marks a change in the university’s financial administration, with the new Finance Officer assuming responsibility for the institution’s financial management and related activities.
