CDO Inspects Flood-Affected Villages in Gonda, Assures Residents of All Possible Assistance

Gonda: Chief Development Officer (CDO) Dayanand Prasad, along with the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Tarabganj and the District Disaster Management Expert, inspected flood-affected villages, including Ailipurasauli, in Tarabganj tehsil on the directions of District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan.

The officials assessed the prevailing flood situation and interacted with residents to understand their problems and immediate requirements. They assured villagers that the district administration would provide all possible assistance to flood-affected families and that there would be no shortage of relief measures.

During the inspection, officials visited various hamlets where floodwater had entered and assessed the situation on the ground. They directed the concerned officials to immediately provide lunch packets, ration kits and other essential relief materials to affected residents.

The officials were also instructed to keep relief and rescue arrangements fully operational in the affected areas so that assistance could reach needy families without delay.

CDO Dayanand Prasad directed officials to remain continuously present in flood-affected areas and closely monitor the situation. He stressed that complaints and requirements raised by residents should be addressed promptly.

Special Focus on Livestock

The CDO said that while protecting residents remained a priority, the safety and welfare of livestock must also receive special attention during the flooding.

Officials were directed to ensure timely arrangements for straw, fodder and other essential feed for cattle in affected areas so that livestock owners do not face difficulties.

Prasad also instructed officials to maintain transparency and promptness in the distribution of relief material and take immediate action according to the requirements emerging in the affected villages.

The district administration is maintaining continuous monitoring of the flood situation across affected villages. Residents have been advised to immediately inform the concerned authorities about any emergency or shortage of essential supplies so that necessary assistance can be provided without delay.
