Gonda: In view of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET)-2026 being conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Selection Commission, Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal carried out inspections of various examination centres across Gonda district to review security arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.

During the inspection, the SP conducted a detailed assessment of security measures at the examination centres, including candidate entry procedures, frisking and checking arrangements, examination hall preparedness, and other essential facilities. He also reviewed the functioning of CCTV cameras installed at the centres to ensure effective surveillance and maintain the integrity of the examination process.

Interacting with police personnel deployed on duty and examination centre administrators, SP Vineet Jaiswal directed them to ensure that the examination is conducted in a completely fair, transparent, and peaceful environment. He emphasized the need for strict compliance with the guidelines issued by the commission and instructed officials to carry out thorough verification and checking of candidates before entry into the examination premises.

The Superintendent of Police further directed all Circle Officers, Station House Officers, and police personnel assigned to examination duties not to show any laxity in security arrangements during the examination period. He stressed that maintaining the sanctity of the examination and preventing any unfair practices should remain the top priority of all concerned officials.

The UPTET-2026 examination was conducted from July 2 to July 4, 2026, in two shifts each day. The first shift was held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, while the second shift was conducted from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
