Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh chaired a review meeting on the quality disposal of complaints registered under the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) at the Collectorate Auditorium on Wednesday. The meeting focused on ensuring effective and satisfactory resolution of public grievances through improved monitoring and verification mechanisms.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate directed officials to launch a special campaign from June 1 to June 30, 2026, for the re-examination of cases that were either closed under the “special close” category or had received unsatisfactory feedback from complainants during the period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
He instructed that all such cases be subjected to fresh field verification to assess the actual status of grievance resolution. To ensure transparency and accountability, the District Magistrate ordered that each case be cross-checked personally by concerned officers as well as by Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars, enabling authorities to identify shortcomings and provide appropriate solutions to complainants.
Emphasizing citizen-centric governance, Avinash Singh directed all departmental officers to remain available in their offices during designated public hearing hours and ensure that visitors’ grievances are heard patiently and resolved promptly. He also stressed the importance of maintaining courteous and respectful behavior with members of the public seeking assistance.
The District Magistrate reiterated that effective grievance redressal is a key component of responsive administration and instructed officials to prioritize timely and quality disposal of complaints to strengthen public confidence in government services.

The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Devyani, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Poornima Singh, Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Desh Deepak Singh, Joint Magistrate and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Baheri) Ishita Kishore, along with all Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, and other concerned officials.
