Gonda: The Uttar Pradesh Unaided School Management Foundation has urged the state government to extend the Chief Minister’s Cashless Medical Scheme to teachers working in private and unaided schools, seeking parity with the healthcare benefits currently available to government school teachers.
A delegation of the foundation submitted a memorandum to Gonda District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, requesting that the demand be forwarded to the state government for consideration. Similar memorandum campaigns were simultaneously conducted across all four tehsils of the district.
In Gonda Sadar, the memorandum was submitted by District Vice-President Khemchand. In Mankapur, the delegation was led by District General Secretary Aishwarya Priyadarshi, while in Tarabganj, Ashok Tiwari and Sunil Mishra spearheaded the initiative. In Karnailganj, the delegation was led by State Coordinator S.P. Gupta. Representatives in other tehsils also submitted memorandums to the respective Sub-Divisional Magistrates.
The organisation stated that teachers employed in private and unaided institutions play an equally significant role in the state’s education system and should receive the same healthcare protection as their counterparts in government schools. It argued that extending cashless medical treatment to private educators would strengthen their financial security and improve access to quality healthcare.
According to foundation representatives, officials receiving the memorandums assured them that the demand would be forwarded to the Uttar Pradesh government and the Chief Minister for consideration.
The campaign witnessed participation from several office-bearers, including State Coordinator Satya Prakash Gupta, District Vice-President Khemchand, District Media In-charge Pankaj Bharti, District Advisor Dr Ashok Shukla, District General Secretary Aishwarya Priyadarshi, Neelam Prakash Pathak, Abhishek Singh, Anil Kumar Pandey, Ajay Kumar Verma, Rajesh Kumar Khanna, Indramani Verma, Balram, Buddh Prakash Maurya, Parvez Alam, Javed Alam, Jagdish Lekhak, Satya Prakash Maurya, and a large number of school managers and educators.
