Lucknow: Demonstrating its commitment to community welfare and humanitarian service, Lucknow Connection Worldwide (LCWW) has launched a long-term rehabilitation and support initiative for families affected by the Vikas Nagar fire tragedy.
Under the guidance of LCWW founder Sunil Mishra, teams of volunteers conducted visits to the affected area on April 21, May 9, and June 4, 2026, to assess the needs of impacted families and identify areas where sustained support could be provided.
The initiative has received generous contributions from LCWW members, who extended financial assistance and donated essential resources to support relief and rehabilitation efforts.
The first survey team comprised Vinod Srivastava, Anil Shukla (Junior), Vibha Shukla, and Pradeep Kumar Shukla. Subsequently, volunteers including Neeta Tekwani, Urmil Grover, Mousami Malik, Priyanka Vajpayee, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, and Rajeev Saxena interacted with affected families to better understand their long-term requirements.
During the latest relief distribution programme led by Sanjay Srivastava, women and children were provided with stationery kits, educational materials, sanitary pads, and other essential supplies. In a significant gesture to support continued education, a bicycle was also gifted to a student to assist with her studies and daily commute.

LCWW has identified nearly a dozen children for continued educational support. The organization plans to assist them with school fees, textbooks, notebooks, stationery, and other academic requirements in the coming months.
The relief effort saw coordinated contributions from several members. Vinod Srivastava and Pradeep Kumar Shukla played key roles in organizing surveys and relief activities, while Urmil Grover guided initiatives related to education and women’s hygiene. Neeta Tekwani and Mousami Malik were instrumental in community outreach and family coordination. Senior members including Rajeev Saxena, Kailash Kumar Srivastava, and Anil Shukla (Junior) actively supported resource mobilization and relief operations.
Reaffirming its commitment to social welfare, LCWW stated that it will continue to undertake rehabilitation programmes focused on education, women’s health, and community awareness, helping affected families rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence.
