Lucknow: Techno Group of Institutions, Lucknow, organised its Fresher’s Induction Programme 2026 on Tuesday at the College Auditorium, welcoming the new batch of first-year students. Held under the theme “A New Beginning: Endless Possibilities,” the programme marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the students’ academic journey.
The programme was graced by Sameer Verma (IAS), Special Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Ms. Jasmine Jain, Additional Commissioner (Appeals), Department of State Taxes, Uttar Pradesh, as Chief Guests. The event was attended by Chairman Er. R. K. Agarwal, Managing Director Dr. Rishi Agarwal, President Vidhi Agarwal and Director General Col. Ramakant Pandey (Retd.), along with faculty members, staff and newly admitted students.
The induction programme introduced freshers to the academic environment, institutional values, opportunities and campus culture, while encouraging them to “connect, explore and excel.” The speakers emphasised discipline, dedication, continuous learning, networking and developing a positive outlook towards academic and professional life.
Addressing the students, Sameer Verma (IAS) encouraged them to look beyond academic qualifications and focus on the person they aspire to become. He said, “Set your parameters for success and priorities. Never stop questioning and compete with yourself rather than with others.” He shared his three-word mantra — “Learn, Earn and Return” — urging students to acquire knowledge, build successful careers and contribute meaningfully to society.
Jasmine Jain highlighted the importance of college life in shaping personality and achieving life goals. She said, “College is a period when you think, hope, experience and motivate yourself to become the person you truly want to be.” She encouraged students to follow their values and work towards their goals in a time-bound manner.
In an interactive session, Dr. Rishi Agarwal, Managing Director, assured students of a safe environment, quality education and an enriching college experience. He urged them to focus on “coordination, networking, hard work and punctuality” and make the most of their learning opportunities.
Chairman Er. R. K. Agarwal stressed the role of a positive educational environment in shaping students’ personalities and professional careers. President Mrs. Vidhi Agarwal introduced students to the Japanese concept of “Kokoro” — harmony of heart, mind and spirit — encouraging them to define their values and make purposeful decisions.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Director General Col. Ramakant Pandey (Retd.) said, “To think anything, you need a sound brain, and to execute it, you need strong knees.” He described the occasion as a memorable moment and encouraged students to make their academic journey meaningful.
