Gonda: The Gonda Recreation Institute has undergone extensive upgradation and beautification to provide improved facilities for railway employees and their families. Along with modernising basic infrastructure, the institute is now hosting a range of recreational and educational activities aimed at children’s personality development and talent enhancement.
Infrastructure Upgraded
As part of the renovation, new water connections, sanitary fittings and tiles have been installed in the toilets and bathrooms. The septic tank and soak pit have also been repaired, while a new water pipeline has been laid across the premises.
Painting work has been carried out on the roof, RCC ceiling and wooden beams and purlins, giving the building a refreshed appearance.
Hall and Stage Get New Flooring
GI sheets have been installed in two rooms, while false ceiling work has been completed in another. The hall and stage have received new tiled flooring.
The institute premises have also been improved with the construction of a concrete road, repairs and painting of the boundary wall, and fresh painting of the main building.
Lawn Turfing Enhances Premises
Lawn turfing has been carried out across the recreation institute premises, giving the campus a more attractive and welcoming appearance. The improvements are intended to create a comfortable environment for railway employees and their families.
Music, Dance and Martial Arts for Children
A variety of activities including singing, instrumental music, dance and judo-karate are being organised for children of railway employees.
The programmes are designed not only to provide entertainment but also to promote confidence, discipline, leadership skills, teamwork and physical fitness among children.
Platform for Talent Development
The activities at the institute are providing children with opportunities to discover and develop their talents while enjoying their leisure time. The initiative places emphasis on the overall development of children through a combination of recreational, cultural and educational activities.
Focus on Welfare of Railway Families
Divisional Railway Manager Gaurav Agarwal said the Lucknow Division administration aims to equip the Recreation Institute with modern facilities and make it a more useful space for railway employees and their families.
He said the initiative is focused on employee welfare while also encouraging social and community-oriented activities within the railway fraternity.
