Personality Development Workshop Concludes Successfully Under ‘Science in Action’ Programme at Rohilkhand University

Bareilly: The Faculty of Science and Technology at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has launched a unique hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning initiative titled “Science in Action” for young innovators during the summer break. The programme is being offered free of cost to students of Classes 9 to 12 as well as undergraduate science students.

Running from May 25 to June 20, 2026, the programme is designed around the theme “Transforming Curiosity into Creativity and Innovation.” Following extensive outreach and media coverage, the initiative has received an enthusiastic response from students.

The university’s Section-8 company, Rohilkhand Incubation Foundation (RIF), has partnered in the programme to provide additional learning opportunities. Dr. Vikas Lamba, a Canadian national who was recently appointed Professor of Practice and Chief Executive Officer of RIF, is leading two major workshop series as part of the initiative.

The first workshop, focused on Personality Development, was conducted from May 25 to May 30 and concluded successfully. Over five days, Dr. Lamba conducted seven highly interactive sessions of 75 minutes each, covering topics such as understanding personality, self-confidence, cultural sensitivity, emotional intelligence, curiosity-driven thinking, leadership skills, and physical fitness.

Students actively participated in the sessions and gained practical insights into personality enhancement, self-development, and the importance of cultivating a strong personal and professional presence.

The second workshop series, titled “Speak Smart: Communication Skills Workshop,” is scheduled to be held from June 15 to June 20, 2026. The programme will focus on effective communication, public speaking, and techniques for expressing ideas confidently and persuasively.

University officials said the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation, leadership, and holistic development among young learners. Interested students can still register and participate in the upcoming sessions free of charge.

Further information regarding the programme is available through the university website and the Faculty of Science and Technology.
