CM Yogi Distributes Appointment Letters to 481 Candidates

Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath has asserted that Uttar Pradesh’s recruitment process has become completely transparent and merit-based, stating that there was “no scope for recommendations or unethical means even after examinations” in the selection process.

The Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to 481 selected candidates for the Ayush Department, Vocational Education and Skill Development Department, and the Divyangjan Empowerment Department during a programme held at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow.

Addressing the gathering, Yogi Adityanath said the state government has consistently organised appointment letter distribution programmes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mission Rozgar” initiative and has so far provided government jobs to more than nine lakh youths across Uttar Pradesh.

“The clean intent and transparent policy of the government ensured that candidates did not have to seek recommendations at any stage. Even after the examinations, there was no room for influence or unethical practices,” the Chief Minister said.

He added that before 2017, recruitment in the state was allegedly influenced by money, caste, religion, and regional considerations, resulting in exploitation of deserving candidates.

“If an undeserving and corrupt person enters the system through bribery, he weakens the entire administrative structure like termites for the next 30 to 35 years,” Yogi said, emphasizing that his government had resolved from day one to eliminate corruption and leakages from recruitment processes.

The Chief Minister praised the functioning of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission, stating that accountability, technology, and transparency have transformed Uttar Pradesh into the state providing the highest number of government jobs in the country.

Yogi Adityanath noted that this was the fourth appointment letter distribution programme held within the last 15 days, highlighting the government’s continued focus on employment generation.

He said Uttar Pradesh has undergone a major transformation over the past nine years, changing from what he described as a state once associated with corruption, lawlessness, and administrative disorder into one of India’s leading economic growth engines.

According to the Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh has tripled its per capita income, annual budget, and overall economy during this period. He said the state is now revenue-surplus and leading in infrastructure development, welfare schemes, and employment generation.

Highlighting industrial growth, Yogi said the state currently has around 96 lakh Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), providing employment to over three crore people. He added that more than 4,000 major industries were established in the state last year and the number of large industries has increased from 14,000 to over 32,000 in the last nine years.

Speaking about the Ayush sector, the Chief Minister said traditional systems of healthcare hold immense potential for health tourism and rural healthcare expansion. He urged newly appointed staff to strengthen Ayush services and support the promotion of medicinal plant cultivation among farmers.

A total of 202 professors, medical officers, and staff nurses from the Ayush Department received appointment letters during the programme.

On vocational education and skill development, the Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh is preparing industry-ready skilled manpower to meet the demands of growing investments in the state. He highlighted collaborations with Tata Technologies to modernise over 150 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and introduce courses in artificial intelligence, drone technology, cyber security, robotics, space technology, and 3D printing.

He said 272 trained instructors appointed under the Vocational Education and Skill Development Department would play an important role in preparing skilled technicians, electricians, plumbers, and other professionals.

Referring to the Divyangjan Empowerment Department, Yogi Adityanath said every differently-abled individual possesses talent and only requires the right opportunities and support system. He highlighted initiatives including pensions, establishment of special universities for differently-abled persons, and reopening of District Rehabilitation Centres.

The event was attended by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education and Skill Development Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Class Welfare and Divyangjan Empowerment Narendra Kumar Kashyap, and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Food Safety and Drug Administration Dayashankar Mishra, along with senior officials and dignitaries.
