Bareilly: A high-impact workshop focusing on the immense potential of the food processing industry in the Bareilly division was successfully organized at the Urban Haat Auditorium. The event was jointly hosted by the Indian Industries Association (IIA) Bareilly Chapter, UPCIDC Bareilly, and SIDBI, drawing enthusiastic participation from industry stakeholders.
Bareilly Divisional Commissioner Bhupendra S. Chaudhary attended the program as the Chief Guest, along with officials from the banking and government sectors, entrepreneurs, and nearly 200 participants from various industries.
Expert Sessions Highlight Sector Growth
The workshop featured multiple knowledge-driven sessions by industry experts:
- Dinesh Garg discussed potato processing, advanced technologies, and project opportunities.
- Syed Farman Imam, General Manager of SIDBI, guided participants on project finance and loans, including special interest rebates for solar panel installation.
- Gaurav Garg shared insights on vegetable dehydration and cold chain projects.
- UPCIDC Regional Manager Mansoor Katiyar highlighted the availability of industrial plots and new project possibilities, with special emphasis on investment opportunities in Pilibhit.
Branding, Value Addition & Innovation
Dr. Ghanshyam Khandelwal, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Council, stressed the importance of branding and value addition in food processing, encouraging farmers and entrepreneurs to adopt quality-focused production to boost profitability and market reach.

The workshop commenced under the chairmanship of IIA Bareilly Chapter Chairman Mayur Dhirwani, with a pledge on water conservation and a warm welcome of guests with bouquets.

Key attendees included Anshul Sinha (Food Processing Bareilly), DIC General Manager Vikas Yadav, the IIA team, and entrepreneurs from Pilibhit, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Lucknow, Sambhal, and Rampur.
