Lucknow – In a significant boost to youth employment and skilling, the third edition of “Kaushal Mahotsav – Lucknow 2025” will be held on September 16–17 at Colvin Taluqdars’ College Grounds. The event is being organized under the guidance of Union Defence Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Jayant Chaudhary will join Singh as chief guests.
The Mahotsav will bring together 100+ leading companies and institutions across 20+ sectors, including automotive, electronics, logistics, BFSI, healthcare, aerospace, and green jobs. At the national level, over 35,000 opportunities have been identified, with 10,000+ jobs and apprenticeships earmarked for Lucknow alone. A special focus will be on apprenticeships, offering over 6,900 positions for ITI graduates, diploma holders, and degree holders.
Major defence sector PSUs like BHEL, BEL, HAL, BEML, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, Hindustan Shipyard Limited, and Controller General of Defence Accounts will also participate, ensuring strong industry linkages and large-scale recruitment.
Highlighting the importance of the festival, BJP leader Neeraj Singh said, “The third edition of Kaushal Mahotsav in Lucknow is proof of the government’s commitment to connect youth with opportunities. On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, the Mahotsav will provide more than 7,500 jobs, symbolizing our contribution to the Seva Pakhwada celebrations.”
The festival will also feature interactive skill zones, digital skilling opportunities, and registration for India Skills 2025, giving young aspirants a chance to represent India at the WorldSkills International competition. Demonstrations in AI, data analytics, drone technology, electric mobility, and cybersecurity will showcase the careers of the future.
MSDE Joint Secretary Shail Malge emphasized, “Kaushal Mahotsav is not just a job fair, it is a platform where skills meet opportunities. With 100+ companies, 10,000+ job and apprenticeship openings, and a focus on future-ready careers, we are preparing the youth not just for today’s workforce but for the economy of tomorrow.”

Salary packages at the event will range between ₹13,000 and ₹25,000 per month, catering to candidates from Class 10 pass to post-graduate levels. Uttar Pradesh has already emerged as a leader in India’s skilling ecosystem, having facilitated 3.21 lakh apprenticeships since 2018–19, including over 41,900 placements in the current financial year alone.
The Mahotsav will also strengthen links between local skills and industries, with a focus on sectors like ODOP (One District One Product), leather, textiles, defence manufacturing, semiconductors, and high-tech industries. Supported by initiatives like the Defence Industrial Corridor and the Indian Institute of Skills, Kanpur, the event underscores UP’s rise as a hub for skilled talent.
Press conference attendees included Anand Dwivedi (President, BJP Lucknow Mahanagar), Diwakar Tripathi (Advisor to the Defence Minister), Rajesh Swaika (CFO, NSDC), Brigadier Vikas Batra (Addl. DG, DRZ-Central, Lucknow), and Vivek Sharma (Dy. GM, NSDC).
The two-day Kaushal Mahotsav – Lucknow 2025 is expected to directly connect thousands of youth with employers, strengthen apprenticeship systems, and prepare India’s workforce for a rapidly evolving job market — a step aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
