Slogans of Social Justice, Promises of Change Mark Celebrations in Lucknow and Beyond
Lucknow – Samajwadi Party President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav celebrated his 52nd birthday with grand yet meaningful celebrations across Uttar Pradesh and India. What stood out, however, was the simplicity with which the party and its cadre marked the day, filled with social initiatives, outreach, and political reaffirmations.
The party’s central office in Lucknow turned into a hub of jubilation, where thousands of supporters, leaders, lawmakers, party workers, and members of the public gathered since early morning to greet Yadav. From flower bouquets and silver mementoes to symbolic gifts like saplings and books, the mood was festive but committed.
Mass Participation and Festivities
Supporters and leaders from across the political spectrum extended birthday wishes to Yadav. Notable figures included MPs, MLAs, ex-ministers, advocates, traders, journalists, ex-servicemen, religious leaders, and members from the Sikh community and transgender groups.
At the Samajwadi Party office, drums and music filled the air as workers distributed sweets, cut cakes, and hosted ‘bhandaras’ (community feasts). Notably, a 52-kg laddu cake was brought in by former MLA Santosh Pandey and cut by Yadav at the Ram Manohar Lohia Auditorium.
Multiple districts across UP and beyond celebrated the birthday through tree plantations, food distributions, hospital visits, and public service programs.
In Dehradun, Haldwani, Prayagraj, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, and Mathura, SP workers held special prayers, health camps, tree plantation drives, and donated food and supplies to the underprivileged.
Political Message and Public Pledge
In a powerful address at the state headquarters, Akhilesh Yadav lashed out at the ruling BJP government, accusing it of arrogance and spreading hatred along caste and religious lines.
“The BJP has betrayed farmers, youth, traders, and the poor. It has ruined education and healthcare in the state, shut down thousands of primary schools, and is actively encouraging privatization to deny the poor their rights,” said Yadav.
He reaffirmed that the Samajwadi Party, buoyed by its strong performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls, is on course for victory in the 2027 Assembly elections.

“We have become the third-largest party nationally and fulfilled Netaji’s (Mulayam Singh Yadav’s) dream. Now we must protect the Constitution and ensure social justice through PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) unity,” he stated.
He also appealed for public contributions towards the Mulayam Singh Yadav Memorial, with many supporters offering donations in cash and kind during the event.

Akhilesh’s Message: A Call for Unity and Vigilance
Yadav’s speech struck a chord with party loyalists.
“We must guard against BJP’s propaganda. They shut schools, privatize everything, and mislead the public in the name of development. But the people are watching. In 2027, we will change the course of Uttar Pradesh,” he asserted.
Akhilesh Yadav’s 52nd birthday was more than a celebration. It was a display of growing support, a revival of grassroots mobilization, and a projection of political momentum heading into the future. With the PDA strategy at the center and the memory of Mulayam Singh Yadav guiding the way, the Samajwadi Party is clearly preparing for a renewed political charge in the years to come.
