Lucknow: Union Minister for Labour, Employment, Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, announced the expansion of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) coverage to 15 more districts in Uttar Pradesh. With this notification, 74 out of 75 districts in the state are now fully covered under the ESI scheme, benefiting 30.08 lakh insured persons and 1.16 crore beneficiaries. The newly notified districts—Ambedkar Nagar, Auraiya, Bahraich, Gonda, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Kannauj, Maharajganj, Mahoba, Pilibhit, Siddharthnagar, Shamli, Pratapgarh, Kasganj, and Shravasti—add 53,987 new insured individuals to the ESIC network. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a notification announcing the revised toll rates for the 2025-26 financial year. These new rates will come into effect from midnight on March 31. The toll hike will impact vehicles traveling through major routes, including Varanasi, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Lucknow, Nawabganj, Barabanki, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, and Raebareli.
