Factory Worker Killed as Bus Rams Into Car Workshop in Lucknow’s Dubagga Area

Lucknow — In a tragic accident on Monday evening, a bus rammed into a car manufacturing workshop in the Chandoiya area of Dubagga police station limits, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old factory worker and injuries to the workshop owner.

According to police reports, the incident occurred around 6:00 PM near a vehicle factory owned by Ishrat, son of late Sabir, a resident of village Chandoiya. A bus (registration number UP32ZN 2966) was parked a short distance away from the workshop.

The bus driver, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, suddenly started the vehicle and accelerated uncontrollably. The speeding bus crashed through the wall of the workshop and entered the premises.

One Dead, One Injured

The collision caused injuries to Ishrat, the factory owner, while a worker named Latif, son of Sher Mohammad, aged approximately 35, was run over by the bus and died on the spot. Latif was a resident of Rooppur Khadra, behind Shia College Hostel, under Madeyganj police station.

Upon receiving the information, a team from Dubagga Police Station arrived at the scene. The body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination. Police officials confirmed that they have received a written complaint from the victim’s family and have begun necessary legal proceedings.

Situation Under Control

The local law and order situation at the accident site remains normal, and further investigation is underway. The accused bus driver is expected to face serious charges of negligence and culpable homicide.

This unfortunate incident has sparked concerns over irresponsible driving and alcohol consumption among drivers, particularly in areas with heavy foot traffic and industrial activity.
