160 Students Awarded Degrees Across Three Prestigious Colleges

Lucknow: Under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor of State Universities,  Anandiben Patel, a joint convocation ceremony for three prominent institutions—Maharani Gulab Kunwari Women’s Postgraduate College, Pindra; Maharani Banaras Women’s Postgraduate College, Ramnagar; and Maharaj Balwant Singh Postgraduate College, Gangapur, Varanasi—was successfully held.

During the ceremony, degrees were conferred on 160 students from the three colleges, and three students with the highest marks were awarded gold medals for their exemplary performance.

Governor’s Address:
In her keynote address, Governor Patel encouraged the students to focus on self-employment by utilizing their skills and technical expertise, especially if unable to secure government jobs based on merit and talent. She emphasized the importance of eliminating gender discrimination and empowering daughters. Highlighting the need for educating rural women, the Governor appreciated the efforts of all three colleges in this direction.

Keynote Speaker’s Message:
The event was graced by the presence of Prof. S. Ahilya, Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka Sanskrit University, Bengaluru, as the chief guest. She inspired students to contribute to employment and social service after completing their education. “Education leads to wisdom, and wisdom fosters progress—the ultimate goal of human life,” she remarked, emphasizing that education should not only be a means of livelihood but also a foundation for personality development and values.

Inspirational Remarks from Academic Leaders:
Prof. Anand Kumar Tyagi, Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, offered blessings and encouraged students to pursue their goals with discipline and dedication.

Special Guests and Attendees:
The ceremony witnessed the presence of Dr. Anant Narayan Singh, President of Maharaja Kashi Raj Dharm Karya Nidhi, along with the principals of the three colleges, members of the management committees, academic councils, the Registrar of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, and other distinguished guests.

The joint convocation ceremony celebrated academic excellence while reinforcing the significance of education as a tool for empowerment, self-reliance, and societal contribution.
