Gonda: Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal, a comprehensive fire safety and disaster management training programme was conducted at the Reserve Police Lines in Gonda on Tuesday.
The practical training session was led by Reserve Inspector Ajay Pratap Singh and saw the participation of 65 police personnel. The initiative aimed to enhance the preparedness of the police force in handling fire-related emergencies effectively and safely.
During the session, participants were given hands-on training on tackling fire incidents, including demonstrations on how to control flames caused by gas cylinder leaks. The programme also covered key aspects such as common causes of fire, preventive measures, and the importance of remaining calm and responsive during emergency situations.
Inspector Singh emphasized that panic during fire incidents can worsen situations, and that applying the correct techniques with presence of mind is crucial for minimizing damage and ensuring safety. He also trained the personnel in the proper use of fire safety equipment and basic firefighting methods.

The participating police personnel actively engaged in the exercises, practicing various techniques to control fire under simulated conditions. The training programme was designed to equip the force with practical skills and awareness, enabling swift and effective response in case of unforeseen incidents.
At the conclusion of the session, the trained personnel were instructed to promote fire safety awareness within their respective areas of deployment, further strengthening community preparedness.
