Gonda: A comprehensive review meeting of key development projects was held at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairpersonship of District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan in Gonda. The meeting focused on ensuring timely execution and quality implementation of government schemes across departments.
During the session, detailed reviews were conducted on a wide range of sectors, including cow shelters, the district-level ODT cell, Saryu Drainage Division, District Environment Committee, District Ganga Committee, as well as departments such as Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, NEDA, Social Welfare, Irrigation, Food and Civil Supplies, Jal Nigam, Basic Education, Probation, Electricity, Family ID, Forest, Mining, MGNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), and NRLM.
Addressing the officials, the District Magistrate directed all departments to prioritize their respective schemes and projects, ensuring 100% completion within stipulated timelines. She stressed that benefits of public welfare initiatives must reach eligible beneficiaries without delay and called for focused efforts to improve departmental rankings.
Special emphasis was laid on environmental conservation and drainage management. The Executive Engineer of the Saryu Drainage Division was instructed to compile and submit updated reports on the cleaning of drains at the earliest. Reviewing the progress of the District Environment Committee, the DM directed officials to make advance preparations to achieve set targets and highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among departments to maintain cleanliness and ecological balance.
Issuing a stern warning, the District Magistrate made it clear that negligence in execution of duties would invite strict action against concerned officials. She urged all officers to work with accountability and responsibility to ensure visible and effective implementation of development initiatives on the ground.
The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Ankita Jain, District Development Officer Sushil Kumar Srivastava, DC NRLM J N Rao, DPR0 Lalji Dubey, Executive Engineer (Electricity) Ram Mohan Pandey, ARO Supply Department Shiv Prakash Tripathi, CDPO Durgesh Kumar, along with all BDOs, ADO Panchayat officials, and other concerned officers. Officials presented progress reports of their respective departments and discussed upcoming action plans.
