Lucknow: In a distressing incident, a violent altercation was reported outside a residence in Rathkhana, under the jurisdiction of Naka Police Station, Lucknow. The complainant, Vinita Singh, submitted a written report detailing the events of January 8, 2025, involving a physical assault and subsequent attack at her home.
According to the complaint, the incident began outside Vinita Singh’s residence when Jai Shukla, son of Raju Shukla and resident of 151/44 Rathkhana, was allegedly assaulted by two individuals identified as Bata and Faisal. A neighbor, Vimal Kanojia, son of the late Rajaram Kanojia and resident of 29 Batashe Wali Gali Baghiya, intervened to defuse the situation and managed to calm the attackers temporarily.
However, tensions escalated when Bata and Faisal reportedly returned shortly after and entered Vimal Kanojia’s house, where they allegedly assaulted him. Hearing the commotion, Vinita Singh and her son rushed outside to intervene. Enraged by the interruption, the attackers allegedly hurled verbal abuses at the complainant and her son and physically assaulted them.
Police Response
The local police promptly registered an FIR under case number 04/2025, invoking serious charges, including Sections 333, 133, 352, and 115(2) of the BNS Act.
Station House Officer (SHO) Naka Police Station stated, “Based on the complainant’s statement and initial investigation, a case has been registered against the accused, Bata and Faisal. Further legal proceedings are underway, and efforts are being made to apprehend the suspects.”

The incident has raised concerns among residents of Rathkhana, who have expressed the need for stricter law enforcement to prevent such violent occurrences. “This kind of behavior disrupts the peace and safety of the community. We demand swift action against the perpetrators,” said a local resident.
