Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a group of 10-15 individuals allegedly stormed a residence in Gomti Nagar late on the night of January 8, 2025, attacking the residents and vandalizing property. The local police have registered a case and detained two suspects for questioning.
The complainant, a woman whose name is being withheld for privacy, submitted a written report at the Gomti Nagar police station. In her statement, she alleged that the accused, identified as Kundan Gautam and Vasudev Pandit, along with a mob of unidentified individuals, forcibly entered her house at around 11 PM. The group reportedly assaulted her and her parents, causing injuries. Additionally, the accused allegedly vandalized her shop, which is situated on the premises, and engaged in inappropriate conduct.
The police have registered an FIR under case number 11/2025, invoking serious charges, including Sections 74, 115(2), 191(2), 324(2), 351(3), and 333 of the BNS Act.

Acting promptly, the local police detained two suspects from the scene and initiated an investigation. An official privy to the case stated, “We have detained two individuals for questioning based on the information provided by the complainant. Further investigations are underway to identify the remaining suspects involved in the incident.”

The complainant also mentioned that her family is deeply shaken by the incident. “They not only harmed us but also destroyed the shop, which is our primary source of income.
