Ayodhya: The land of Rama is now home to a South Indian style temple at the workshop site of Ram Mandir. The Shiv temple here has been built by a devotee from Tamil Nadu, for which the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has provided land in Ram Sevak Puram.
VHP leader and management in-charge of the temple trust Gopal Rao gave this information. He said that this beautiful Shiv temple is ready in the style of South.
Giving information, Selva Kumar of South, associated with the management of the Shiv temple, said that the preparations for the installation of Shivling in this Shiva temple, the model of Shivling modelled on the one installed in the temple of Ramanathaswamy of Rameshvaram in South has gone off smooth;y. The rituals of Prana Pratishtha started from Tuesday and has been on till September 5.
Devotees from South India continue to come to participate in the Prana Pratishtha of Shivling in the temple, whose number is said to be around 3 thousand. A person from the south associated with the arrangements of the program told that the senior officials of the organizing committee are reaching Ayodhya by Tuesday night.
This is the first occasion when a stone Shivling was made and brought to Ayodhya from the south, whose Prana Pratishtha was done in the southern style temple of Ram Sevak Puram. He told that this Shivling of about two and a half to three feet high has been made in the same way as the Shivling installed in the Ramanathaswamy temple of Rameshvaram, which has its own importance.
He said that after the darshan of Baba Vishwanath in Kashi, people get complete virtue only after worshipping Bholenath in the temple of Ramanatha Swamy in Rameshvaram. That is why devotees go to Rameshvaram for darshan after the darshan of Kashi Vishwanath.
Selva Kumar, who is associated with the temple’s worship system, said that the Shivling in Ramanatha Swamy’s temple was established by Mother Sita. Therefore, its importance is very high. The Shivling established in the temple of Ram Sevak Puram is also believed to be the same Shivling.
The worship and ritual temple is ready in front of the South’s Shiva temple in Ram Sevak Puram. Along with the electrical decorations, many kunds have also been made for the mandap ritual.
All the arrangements for this program have been taken care of by the South’s team. A big tent pandal has been made for people to sit in the program. Arrangements have been made to seat about 8 thousand people in the pandal. He said that after the consecration of the Shivling, a special worship will be conducted here for 48 days.
The Ram Sevak Puram of VHP, where the work of carving stones for Ram Mandir was going on earlier, has now become a tourist spot for devotees and tourists. As soon as you enter here, on the right side, a huge collection of bows and arrows, maces and Shivlings presented to Ram Mandir, stones brought from Karnataka, Rajasthan, Nepal etc. for making the idol of Ramlala are kept decorated. At the back side, there is a huge room of Ram Katha Kunj in which scenes from the events of Ram Katha have been created with the idols. Other processes of the temple trust have also been established in it. This Shiv temple of the south, next to Ram Katha Kunj, will also become a new center of attraction.
