Lucknow – Actor Arshad Warsi and director Akshay Shere visited Lucknow ahead of the premiere of their upcoming ZEE5 original film Bhagwat. The duo engaged with local media and met senior officials at the Qaiserbagh Kotwali Police Station, highlighting the dedication of law enforcement and the values of justice.
Produced by Jio Studios in collaboration with Baweja Studios and Dog ‘n’ Bone Pictures, Bhagwat, starring Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar, is a crime thriller inspired by true events. The film follows a high-stakes investigation interwoven with layers of truth, deception, and redemption, set against the rustic backdrop of Robertsganj, Uttar Pradesh.
During the visit, Warsi spoke about his personal connection with Lucknow, recalling previous films like Sehar and Dedh Ishqiya that were shot in the city. “Bhagwat as a film is rooted in real-life courage and conviction—the quiet power of resilience, the will to fight back, and the belief that truth always finds a way,” he said.
Director Akshay Shere added, “Lucknow has a deep cultural connection with stories of courage, honour, and humanity, which is exactly what Bhagwat represents. Meeting the officers here and witnessing their commitment to justice was inspiring. The film is about people, their choices, and their conscience.”
Bhagwat will premiere exclusively on ZEE5 on 17th October 2025.
