Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh has directed the departmental officials to do extensive publicity of the world’s largest religious event Maha Kumbh-2025 to be held next year. He said that in the pre-Kumbh events, connecting the youth, women and students with the spirituality and mythology of Kumbh, publicity road shows and cultural programs etc. should be organized in the state and other state capitals and other places like Nashik, Ujjain, Haridwar.
The Tourism Minister was reviewing the preparations related to Maha Kumbh and various ongoing projects of the Culture and Tourism Department at the Tourism Bhawan. He said that various activities should be organized to make Maha Kumbh divine and supernatural and to acquaint the devotees with the Indian cultural heritage and its glorious history. He directed the Culture Department to organize a cultural evening before Kumbh and connect artists from all the districts of the state with publicity. He said that all the artists who want to participate in cultural programs should ensure their registration on the website of the Culture Department.
Jaiveer Singh said that the Culture Department and the Information and Public Relations Department have been given the responsibility for organizing cultural programs and road shows. The Kumbh Yatra mobile bus will be operated by the Information Department throughout the country, through which the dignity, history and mythological importance of the Maha Kumbh will be displayed through LED and a road show will be conducted.
Similarly, cultural programs will be organized within the state on the basis of public participation, for which events will be organized in universities, colleges, inter colleges, schools etc. Its purpose is to motivate the young generation as well as their family members to participate in the Maha Kumbh. The work of publicity has to be completed in all the districts of the state by December 15.
The Tourism Minister also directed that under the Pre Kumbh Summit, Kumbh Abhinandan Road Show, Kumbh Laser Show, Digital Exhibition, Seminar, On Spot Competition, Kumbh Quiz, Show Topper Presentation, Devotional Presentations, Fusion Show, Dance Dramas, Performances of Folk Artists, Short Film will be organized. They will be invited to connect the common man with respect. On this occasion, he also reviewed the action plan of Ayodhya Deepotsav-2024.
On the occasion of Deepotsav, proposals have been prepared for the presentations of foreign Ramlila teams through Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia team in collaboration with ICCR New Delhi. Apart from this, Shri Ramcharitmanas Nari Shakti will also be organized on this occasion through 50 artists of Maitreya Pahari team. He also reviewed the organization of Dev Deepawali. He said that the message of Deepotsav and Dev Deepawali Indian Sanatan culture will reach the whole world. This year a record 25 lakh lamps will be lit in Ayodhya.
The Tourism Minister first reviewed the updated progress of the construction works of the financial year 2023-24 by the Directorate of Culture and expressed displeasure over the delay and directed to speed up the work. He directed to complete the construction work of 05 projects of Mainpuri, Hardoi, Etah, Kushinagar, Pratapgarh, Chitrakoot, Rae Bareli, Ballia, Prayagraj, Kannauj, Lucknow with quality.
Along with this, instructions were given to complete the work of gate and boundary wall under the project of district Gorakhpur in the financial year 2022-23. Apart from this, instructions were given to complete the construction work of districts Mainpuri, Banda, Firozabad, Chitrakoot, Azamgarh etc. soon and send the closure report. He directed to complete the tender proceedings related to the projects approved in the financial year 2024-25 soon and start the construction work.
After this, the Tourism Minister reviewed the construction works and various activities under the Tourism Department and directed to start all the proposed works with timeliness and complete the ongoing schemes on time.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary Tourism Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Special Secretary Tourism Isha Priya and MD Raviranjan, Director Tourism Prakhar Mishra, Dr. Srishti Dhawan from Bhatkhande Cultural University, Tourism Advisor J.P. Singh, Deputy Director Kalyan Singh, Finance Officer and other officers of Culture and Tourism Department were present.
