Lucknow: On the occasion of the 163rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a great scholar, educationist, and one of India’s most renowned civil engineers, the School of Management Sciences, Lucknow celebrated the 57th Engineers’ Day on September 15, 2024.
The program began with the garlanding of Sir Visvesvaraya’s portrait and an inaugural address by dignitaries. Mr. Sharad Singh, Secretary and Executive Officer, SMS, extended his best wishes to all the teaching faculty and staff of the engineering department on this occasion. Dr. Ashish Bhattacharya, Director, also encouraged teachers and students to draw inspiration from Sir Visvesvaraya’s work.
On this significant occasion, Professor (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh, Director General (Technical), School of Management Sciences, Lucknow, addressed the gathering about the pioneering work done by Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. He encouraged teachers and students to follow in Sir Visvesvaraya’s footsteps and make meaningful contributions to the nation’s development.
Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Asso. Director emphasized the importance of reflecting on the notable works of India’s great engineers and following in their footsteps. In this context, the office bearers of Engineer Vision were encouraged for their good work by Dr. Hemant Kumar, Dean of Engineering.
The program was attended by Dr. P.K. Singh, Dean (Student Welfare), Dr. Amarendra Singh, HOD (Electrical), Dr. Kamlesh Singh, HOD (Mech); Pankaj Kumar Yadav, Dr. Asha Kulshrestha, HOD (CE), Sunil Mishra, HOD (CS Engg.), and Mr. Amod Pandey, Principal (Diploma) and teachers and students. The program concluded with a resolve to kindle creative thoughts, dedication, and technical knowledge.
