Lucknow: State Bank of India’s Local Head Office in Lucknow began Rajbhasha Pakhwada 2026 with a meeting of its Rajbhasha Implementation Committee chaired by Chief General Manager Dipesh Raj.
Addressing the meeting, Raj said the implementation of official language Hindi should not be treated merely as a formal responsibility, but as a means of making office communication simpler, clearer and more effective. He urged department heads to continuously encourage the use of Hindi and called upon staff members to participate actively in competitions organised during the fortnight.
He noted that simple and accessible language plays an important role in facilitating communication with banking customers. He also emphasised using information technology and modern digital tools to make working in Hindi easier and more efficient.
Raj released the latest issue of the quarterly magazine Vatayan and the seventh edition of the Rajbhasha Gyan Pustika. He congratulated the Rajbhasha Department for receiving the second Rajbhasha Shield for 2025-26, while Vatayan received the first prize in the Grih Patrika Shield category.
The Premises and Estate Department won the departmental Rajbhasha Shield, while the Inspection and Monitoring Department was declared runner-up.
