Gonda: As part of the Seva Sankalp Campaign and celebrations marking Vishwakarma Jayanti, toolkits were distributed to 200 women beneficiaries under the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana at the District Panchayat Auditorium in Gonda on Thursday.
The initiative aimed to promote traditional crafts and enable women artisans to strengthen their livelihoods through self-employment. Beneficiaries, including Suman Devi, Kanchan, Lakshmi Singh, Vandana Tiwari, Saroj Devi, Neetu Devi, Malti Devi and Pinky Devi, were among the 200 women who received toolkits.

Officials said the equipment would help beneficiaries pursue their traditional skills and improve their productivity and earning opportunities. The programme also highlighted the importance of labour, skill development and traditional craftsmanship in creating sustainable livelihoods.

The event was attended by BJP regional president, Katra Bazaar MLA Bawan Singh, Gonda Sadar MLA Prateek Bhushan Sharan Singh, Karnailganj MLA Ajay Pratap Singh, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, Chief Development Officer Dayanand Prasad, representatives of Gonda and Kaiserganj MPs, BJP district president Akbal Bahadur Tiwari and other public representatives.
District Industries Centre Deputy Commissioner Babu Ram and other officials were also present.
