Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya has directed all the concerned officials to ensure that the workers engaged in the execution of construction works under PMGSY are compulsorily registered on the UP Building and Other Construction Welfare Board (Bhawan evam aniyanirman karmakar kalyan board) portal.
In the given guidelines, he has said that it is mandatory to register all the workers engaged in the execution of construction works under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana on the UP Building and Other Construction Welfare Board (Bhawan evam aniyanirman karmakar kalyan board) portal, so that the workers can get the benefits as per the provisions of the Welfare Board.
It has been said that 01 percent amount is deducted from all the bills of construction works and deposited in the welfare fund of the workers in the form of labor cess, but due to non-registration of workers, the workers are not able to get the benefit of welfare items. We have to provide the benefit of the ongoing schemes to the workers at any cost.
