Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a tough stance against police personnel engaging in making reels and videos while on duty. In a high-level review meeting, the Chief Minister directed that no police officer or constable posted at sensitive duty points should be allowed to record or share videos on social media. He emphasized that officers must uphold the dignity of the police uniform and focus on public service rather than online showmanship.
Focus on Law, Order, and Discipline
CM Yogi reminded officers that their foremost responsibility is maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of citizens. “Policing is a matter of duty, not display,” he asserted, warning that any violation of these directives would attract strict disciplinary action.
Tight Security for Upcoming Festivals
With several major festivals approaching, including events in Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj, the Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure foolproof security, crowd control, and cleanliness. He said that millions of devotees are expected to gather at ghats and fairs, and any lapse in arrangements would not be tolerated.
Yogi Adityanath also ordered that all major venues be equipped with adequate lighting, CCTV surveillance, medical camps, and floating barriers to prevent accidents. He directed the deployment of SDRF and NDRF teams at sensitive locations to manage any emergency effectively.

Crackdown on Middlemen and Mafias
Reviewing the ongoing paddy procurement process, the Chief Minister instructed officials to eliminate the role of middlemen to ensure that farmers receive fair prices directly. He also called for stringent action against illegal mining activities and reiterated the government’s commitment to cow protection, urging district authorities to remain alert and proactive.
With these directives, CM Yogi reinforced his government’s focus on discipline, accountability, and efficient governance ahead of the festive season—underscoring that service, not social media presence, defines a true officer’s duty.
