Lucknow: Lucknow Police have arrested Uzbekistani national Lola Kayumova, who had allegedly been operating an international prostitution network in the city and had been evading arrest for nearly a year.

Kayumova was arrested late Tuesday night near Max Hospital in Lucknow by a joint team of Sushant Golf City Police and intelligence officials. According to police sources, she allegedly underwent multiple cosmetic procedures to alter her appearance and evade identification.

The case came to light in June 2025, when Sushant Golf City Police raided a flat in the Omaxe apartment complex and arrested two Uzbekistani women, identified as Nilofar and Holida, who were allegedly staying there illegally.

During questioning, the two women reportedly told investigators that Kayumova had brought foreign women to Lucknow and arranged accommodation for them while allegedly operating a prostitution network.

Fake Documents Used to Conceal Identity

Following the arrests, police and the Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) expanded their investigation and allegedly uncovered a network of forged documents.

According to police sources, Kayumova allegedly used a fake marriage certificate to obtain an Aadhaar card and driving licence. The man shown as her husband in the certificate was allegedly one of her customers, investigators said.

Police further allege that she underwent seven cosmetic or plastic surgery procedures as part of efforts to alter her appearance and conceal her identity.

Police Probe Alleged Assistance in Cosmetic Procedures

Investigators are also examining the role of people who allegedly helped Kayumova obtain medical procedures and establish a new identity.

Police sources have alleged that Kayumova sought assistance from a doctor at a clinic in Ahmamau. Investigators are looking into allegations that cosmetic procedures were carried out without adequate verification of her passport and visa documents.

Authorities are also examining the alleged involvement of a resident of the Omaxe complex, identified as Trijin Raj alias Arjun Rana, who is suspected of having helped provide shelter or other assistance to the accused.

The allegations against the doctor and other individuals remain subject to investigation.

Investigation Underway

Police are now questioning Kayumova to determine the full extent of the alleged international network and identify other people who may have facilitated the movement, accommodation or activities of foreign nationals in Lucknow.

Investigators are also examining the alleged use of forged identity documents and the circumstances under which Kayumova was able to remain in the city despite being wanted for nearly a year.

Police officials expect further details about local facilitators and other possible members of the network to emerge as the investigation progresses.

The case has raised concerns over illegal stay, identity fraud and the alleged operation of an organised prostitution network involving foreign nationals in Lucknow. Further arrests could follow if investigators establish the involvement of additional suspects.
