About Anganwadi Centers
Anganwadi centers in India serve as rural mother and child care units. Launched in 1975 as part of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) program, they aim to tackle child hunger and malnutrition. These centers provide essential healthcare services such as contraceptive counseling and supply, nutrition education, supplementary nutrition, and preschool activities.
