NCL family pays salutations to mining heroes

Singrauli: A headquarters level program was organized in the morning on the occasion of Miner Abhinandan Diwas-2024 at Northern Coalfields Limited, a Miniratna company of the Government of India.

During the program, CMD NCL  B. Sairam, Director (Personnel)  Manish Kumar, Director (Finance)  Rajneesh Narayan, Director (Technical/Operations)  Jitendra Malik, Director (Technical/Project & Planning)  Sunil Prasad Singh, JCC members of labor unions  Ajay Kumar,  Shyam Dhar Dubey,  Ashok Pandey, General Secretary, CMOAI,  Sarvesh Singh, Head of Department and other employees paid floral tributes at the Shaheed Memorial and Miner Statue and saluted the miners who made the supreme sacrifice for the country’s energy supply.

During this, CMD NCL  B. Sairam at the beginning of his address congratulated the large NCL family on Shramik Abhinandan Diwas. He defined labour as the key to human civilization and development. Throwing light on the new opportunities and challenges created in the industries after the industrial revolution, he described the period of the last four decades as the period of invention. He congratulated Team NCL on achieving the targets set by the country in coal production, dispatch and overburden last year.

He also called upon all the stakeholders for cooperation to achieve the targets of the year 2024–25. Referring to the work being done at present in the light of the sustainable stability of the coal industry, he described the future of the coal industry as bright. He also said that saving foreign exchange reserves by reducing the country’s dependence on imported coal is the sacred duty of every person associated with the coal industry.

CMD NCL reiterated NCL’s commitment to continuous power supply to the power sector and non-regulatory sector. He expressed confidence that in the coming two years, NCL will start dispatching more than 95% of the coal produced from FMC projects. While appreciating NCL’s diversification efforts, he explained in detail about the 50 MW solar plant located in Nigahi and underlined NCL’s commitment to making it a net zero company. On this occasion, excellent employees posted in various departments of NCL Headquarters were also awarded.
