Lucknow: In a significant breakthrough, the North Lucknow Police’s Surveillance Team, in collaboration with the Gudamba Police Station, has solved the robbery case that took place on November 28, 2024, in Seewa village. Four accused individuals have been arrested along with stolen jewelry, mobile phones, and an illegal firearm with ammunition.
According to the police report, the incident occurred on the night of November 28, 2024, when the four accused broke into the house of the complainant and carried out a robbery. The complainant subsequently filed a case at Gudamba Police Station under FIR number 477/2024, involving sections 309(6), 352, 351(2), and 333 of the IPC. Following orders from senior officials, a special police team was formed to investigate the incident.
Upon receiving the information, the police team, aided by both ground and technical intelligence, began their probe. On January 6, 2025, acting on a tip-off, the Crime Team and Gudamba Police conducted a successful operation on Seewa Road, apprehending the four suspects.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
- Chand Babu alias Chandu (Age: 27) – Resident of Pakramau Village, Gudamba, Lucknow.
- Nurul alias Guddu (Age: 22) – Resident of Pakramau Village, Gudamba, Lucknow.
- Fazid (Age: 19) – Resident of Bhakhamau, Gudamba, Lucknow.
- Sameer (Age: 19) – Resident of Achramau, Gudamba, Lucknow.
From the arrested criminals, the following items were recovered:
- One illegal country-made firearm (.315 bore) with one live cartridge.
- A pair of white metal bangles.
- Four yellow metal bangles.
- One mobile phone (Tecno brand).
The police have confirmed that the accused carried out the robbery with the intent of financial gain, meticulously planning the crime. Two additional suspects, Saif (son of Maqbool) and Haleem (son of Mohammad Sharif), both residents of Soipur, Barabanki, are still at large, and efforts to apprehend them are ongoing.
Further investigations are underway, and the police are gathering details about the criminal history of the arrested suspects from other police stations.
