Kalash Installed Atop Ram Temple’s Main Shikhar in Ayodhya; CM Yogi Expresses Joy

Ayodhya: Ayodhya marked a momentous milestone on Monday as the sacred Kalash was ceremoniously installed atop the main shikhar (spire) of the grand Ram Temple. The installation, conducted with complete Vedic rituals in the presence of Brahmin priests, commenced at 9:15 AM and concluded by 10:30 AM, drawing widespread celebration across the city.

Locals described the occasion as historic, echoing the growing spiritual fervor surrounding the temple’s construction. The spiritual energy, coupled with infrastructural transformation in Ayodhya, continues to fortify the wave of Ram devotion not only in Uttar Pradesh but across the nation.

Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, stated that the Kalash installation coincided with the auspicious occasions of Baisakhi and the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He added that the next step will be the installation of the temple’s flagpole atop the shikhar. Temple construction is progressing steadily and in accordance with planned timelines.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed happiness over the accomplishment. “The construction of the Ram Temple is not just a spiritual mission but a symbol of India’s cultural and social unity. It reflects the unwavering faith and determination of the people of this country,” he said.

He further emphasized that the temple represents India’s Sanatan heritage on the global stage. Applauding the efforts of the Trust and all those involved in the construction, he described the milestone as a significant step in building a “New India.” The state government, he said, is working tirelessly to establish Ayodhya as a global pilgrimage hub by enhancing road, rail, and air connectivity, along with expanding facilities for pilgrims and tourists.

Consecration of Deities to Begin Soon

Champat Rai confirmed that construction equipment will now be removed from the temple premises. Installation of idols of King Ram, the Saptrishi temples, and other deities on the first floor will commence shortly. The temple’s construction continues on schedule, much to the joy and anticipation of the devotees.

Construction Moving Towards Completion: Nripendra Misra

Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, announced that the project is approaching its final phase and will be completed within six months. Three major undertakings are now underway.

A 4-kilometer-long security wall is being constructed around the temple premises, expected to be completed in 18 months. Engineers India Limited is overseeing the project. Final decisions regarding the height, thickness, and design of the wall have been made, and construction has begun following soil testing.

Additionally, the capacity of the pilgrim amenities centre will be increased. A dedicated shoe rack facility spread across 10 acres within the temple campus will feature approximately 62 counters for storage. A spiritual area for meditation and prayer will also be developed over another 10-acre plot, linking the green areas around the Kuber Tila and the meditation zone.

No External Distribution of Temple Soil: Misra Clarifies

Nripendra Misra refuted recent media reports about distribution of the temple soil to devotees. He clarified that the soil will be used exclusively within the temple premises for landscaping and other purposes. “This sacred soil holds immense significance for devotees, and we will ensure that it remains within the temple’s domain. We do not wish to commercialize or mishandle such a revered element,” he said.

As the Ram Temple nears completion, the spiritual, cultural, and infrastructural transformation of Ayodhya continues to unfold with reverence and pride, reinforcing its place as a timeless symbol of India’s devotion and unity.
