Lucknow – In a significant move to strengthen its presence in Uttar Pradesh, Janata Dal (United) will be organizing programs across all districts of the state, announced State President Anoop Singh Patel during a high-level party meeting held at the state office in Lucknow (38 D, Major Banks Road, opposite Assembly Gate No. 6).
The meeting, held recently witnessed participation from a wide array of senior party officials including mandal coordinators and co-coordinators, state presidents and conveners of various cells, party spokespersons, and other key office-bearers. Presiding over the meeting, Anoop Singh Patel emphasized the party’s commitment to grassroots organizational expansion and strategic electoral preparedness for upcoming elections.
Focus on Panchayat and Assembly Elections
The JD(U) leadership resolved to contest the 2026 three-tier panchayat elections vigorously and to begin focused preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. As part of the strategy, the party aims to select two assembly constituencies from each district to channel focused campaigning and groundwork.
President Patel instructed officials to accelerate the formation of district units, ensuring a robust party structure across the state. He also announced a major party program scheduled in Prayagraj on March 21, where he, along with other senior officials, will be present. Following this, he will also attend a district-level meeting in Ballia, underlining the party’s outreach efforts.

During the meeting, party officials presented detailed reports on organizational work in their respective regions. President Patel listened attentively and provided solutions to several issues raised, reinforcing the leadership’s commitment to resolving local challenges and supporting grassroots functionaries.
