DRM Northern Railways oversees Kumbh rush preparation

Prayagraj: Keeping in view the upcoming Kumbh Mela, in order to make prior preparations in this direction, Divisional Railway Manager, Northern Railway, Lucknow,  S. M. Sharma along with other officers of the division at Prayag Jn. Arrived at the station. After arrival, the Divisional Railway Manager attended a meeting organized in an auditorium there with the Fair Officer, Vijay Kiran Anand, nominated by the Uttar Pradesh Government. In this meeting, information about the tourists and railway passengers coming under the upcoming Kumbh Mela was discussed.

Many types of plans and policies related to easy transportation and smooth management and operation were discussed in detail by both the parties and many important points were discussed regarding the mutual cooperation and coordination of the state and railway administration in this matter. Brainstorming was done.

After this meeting, Divisional Railway Manager and Fair Officer along with other officials went to Prayag Junction. Reached the station and after reaching there, he inspected the platform, premises and other places regarding the above subject and determined the necessary policies with joint consent.

Thereafter, all the officers were sent to Phaphamau Jn. And arrival at Prayagraj Sangam stations and there also the outline of works related to smooth rail operation and efficient passenger management in view of Kumbh Mela was decided between the two sides.

Apart from this, during today’s program, the Divisional Railway Manager tested the safety of the tracks while doing window trailing of the Lucknow-Unchahar-Rae Bareli-Prayagraj Sangam railway section and talked about proper maintenance of the tracks and taking extra precautions during summers.

Tested the track at Sangam station and interacted with the trackmen and motivated them by appreciating their work and at Prayag Junction under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. And Phaphamau Jn.

Also got information about the ongoing development works at the stations. Additional Divisional Railway Manager,  Shivendra Shukla along with branch heads of other departments and other railway personnel were present in today’s program.
