Dr. Lalit Singh Elected National General Secretary of ISCCM

Bareilly: In a significant achievement for the medical fraternity of Rohilkhand and Kumaon, senior pulmonologist Dr. Lalit Singh has been elected as the National General Secretary of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM).

Dr. Singh, who serves as the Head of the Department of Critical Care and Respiratory Medicine at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Medical College, secured victory in the prestigious national election, earning widespread recognition from medical professionals across India and abroad.

Sharing the information, Dr. R.P. Singh, Medical Superintendent of SRMS Medical College, described the achievement as a matter of immense pride for the entire SRMS family. He noted that Dr. Singh received support from ISCCM members not only from India but also from countries such as Australia, New Zealand, and England, reflecting his professional stature and leadership in the field of critical care medicine.

“This accomplishment highlights Dr. Lalit Singh’s outstanding contribution to critical care medicine and demonstrates the confidence the medical community has placed in his vision and leadership,” Dr. R.P. Singh said.

Expressing gratitude after his election, Dr. Lalit Singh credited his success to the support of his family, mentors, colleagues, and friends. He also thanked Dev Murti, Chairman of the SRMS Trust, and Aditya Murti, Director of the institution, for their trust and encouragement throughout his professional journey.

Speaking about his priorities as the newly elected General Secretary of ISCCM, Dr. Singh said he would focus on advancing critical care medicine, promoting clinical excellence, and improving patient outcomes across the country.

“My effort will be to contribute towards the growth and development of critical care services, enhance treatment standards, and facilitate training for doctors working at primary healthcare centres. This will help ensure better and faster access to quality healthcare for people living in remote and underserved regions,” he said.
