Prayagraj – The world’s largest religious gathering, Maha Kumbh, concluded on February 26, marking an extraordinary spiritual milestone. The grand event not only set new benchmarks of devotion but also captivated millions with its divine aura. Over 66 crore devotees took a sacred dip at the Sangam during the 45-day-long Maha Kumbh, creating a historic congregation unparalleled anywhere in the world. This staggering number constitutes nearly 50% of India’s population and surpasses the total population of many countries.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ensured continuous monitoring of the Maha Kumbh’s arrangements. Whether in Lucknow or Gorakhpur, he kept a keen watch on the event’s management and logistics. In an impressive show of commitment, the CM visited Maha Kumbh 10 times in 45 days, personally assessing ground realities and issuing necessary directives.
At times, when required, CM Yogi also dispatched senior officials from Lucknow to evaluate the situation and ensure smooth proceedings. One of the most significant aspects of his visits was his engagement with all the Akharas, Dandi Bada, Prayagwal, and Khak Chowk. He also took the opportunity to meet and honor revered saints and sages, reinforcing the deep cultural and spiritual significance of the Maha Kumbh.
