Chief Minister to perform Kamadgiri Parikrama in Chitrakoot before inaugurating and laying foundation stones for 229 development projects in Banda
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on a significant visit to Chitrakoot and Banda, combining religious observance with a major push for infrastructure and development. During the visit, the Chief Minister will perform the sacred Kamadgiri Parikrama in Chitrakoot and later inaugurate and lay foundation stones for 229 development projects worth approximately ₹709 crore in Banda district.
According to the official itinerary, the Chief Minister will begin his visit at Chitrakoot’s New Circuit House before proceeding to the Barha Hanuman Temple located at the Kamadgiri Parikrama route. After offering prayers at the temple, he will undertake the approximately six-kilometre-long Kamadgiri Parikrama, one of the most revered pilgrimages associated with Lord Rama. The circumambulation is expected to take about an hour, following which he will return to the Hanuman Temple and then head back to the New Circuit House.
Following the religious programme in Chitrakoot, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will travel to Banda, where he will address a public gathering at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Degree College ground. During the event, he will dedicate completed projects and lay foundation stones for new development works aimed at accelerating infrastructure growth in Banda district.
The Chief Minister will inaugurate and launch a total of 229 development projects valued at around ₹709 crore across the Banda Sadar and Baberu Assembly constituencies. The package includes both completed projects ready for public use and new initiatives that are set to begin construction.

In Banda Sadar Assembly constituency, he will inaugurate 45 completed projects worth ₹171 crore, while in Baberu Assembly constituency, he will dedicate 64 completed development works costing ₹65 crore.
The Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stones for 40 new projects worth ₹425 crore in Banda Sadar and 80 development projects valued at ₹47 crore in the Baberu constituency, further strengthening civic infrastructure and public amenities in the district.
Besides the development initiatives, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also expected to unveil the statue of freedom fighter Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi at Kalukuan Square in Banda city. Local authorities have completed preparations for the proposed unveiling ceremony.
The visit is being viewed as an important blend of cultural heritage, religious devotion, and development-oriented governance, reinforcing the state government’s focus on preserving spiritual traditions while expanding infrastructure and public services across Bundelkhand.
