Gonda: In a significant initiative aimed at promoting learning and community engagement, “Arga Gyan Ganj: Chai and Chapters” was inaugurated at Shakti Café premises within the Vikas Bhawan campus in Gonda. The initiative provides a safe, peaceful, and well-equipped environment for students and youth to study and interact.
The library was formally inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal, who attended the event as the chief guest. District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan and Chief Development Officer Ankita Jain were also present on the occasion. The Commissioner lauded the initiative, calling it an innovative step toward youth empowerment and social development.
As part of the ceremony, meritorious students who excelled in High School and Intermediate board examinations were felicitated with medals and garlands. They were also gifted books related to competitive exams, along with diaries and pens to encourage their academic pursuits.
Interacting with students, Commissioner Nagpal emphasized that initiatives like “Chai and Chapters” foster meaningful dialogue and inspire youth—especially women—to move forward with confidence. “Such platforms promote positive engagement and contribute to social awareness and self-reliance,” she said, adding that parental support plays a crucial role in students’ success. She encouraged young people to channel their energy productively and strive consistently toward achieving their goals.

District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan highlighted that the library would significantly support students in their academic journey. She noted that Shakti Café also offers nutritious food prepared by women from self-help groups, ensuring that students can maintain their health alongside their studies. The library, she added, is open to all students seeking a conducive place to learn.
Chief Development Officer Ankita Jain stated that the facility provides a peaceful and supportive atmosphere for focused study. She urged students to remain dedicated to their education and work diligently toward realizing their aspirations.
The “Gyan Ganj” initiative is expected to serve as a hub for dialogue, learning, and empowerment, creating new opportunities for the youth of the district.
