Gonda: District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan said literature written in simple, everyday language plays an important role in the development and wider acceptance of a language. She was speaking at a national seminar and book launch programme held at the District Panchayat auditorium in Gonda on Sunday.
The occasion marked the launch of Shri Durga Saptashati, authored by Ram Bujharath Dwivedi. Niranjan said the use of overly difficult words can make literature inaccessible to ordinary readers, while familiar language creates a sense of connection and encourages people to engage with literary works.
The programme began with floral tributes offered before portraits of Lord Parashuram and Maa Bhagwati.
BJP district president Akbal Bahadur Tiwari, Dr Sant Sharan Tripathi, Mahesh Kumar Singh, Professor Jai Shankar Tiwari, Dr Arun Kumar Singh, Samajwadi Party leader Suraj Singh and Bhagauti Prasad Pandey, along with other advocates and guests, formally launched the book and congratulated the author.
The programme was conducted by Adarsh Tiwari Azad. Civil Bar Association president Vijay Prakash Tripathi, general secretary Gauri Shankar Chaturvedi and several advocates, including Awadhesh Shukla, Jagannath Prasad Shukla, Upendra Kumar Mishra, Manoj Kumar Mishra and Ram Ashish Tripathi, were present.
