Gonda: The Lucknow Division of Northeast Railway has installed a modern multi-play station at the Gonda Recreation Institute to provide children from railway families with opportunities for recreation, physical exercise and overall development.
The facility offers a range of safe and attractive play equipment for children aged three to 15 years, including swings, slides, tunnel slides and spiral slides. Around 50 children can use the facilities at a time, allowing them to combine physical activity with recreation.
Divisional Railway Manager Gaurav Agrawal said the initiative is aimed at providing better facilities to railway employees and their families while encouraging children to develop an interest in sports and physical activities. The multi-play station has been designed keeping in mind children’s recreation, personality development and physical and mental well-being.
The new facility has generated considerable enthusiasm among children visiting the recreation institute. Children can be seen eagerly waiting for their turn on the swings and other play equipment.
Railway officials said around 100 to 150 children are using the facility every day, particularly during the morning and evening hours. The initiative is expected to provide children with a safe and engaging environment for play and physical activity.
