Mumbai: Fans all around India are getting excited for the highly awaited November 14 release of “Kanguva,” which was directed by Siva and stars Suriya, Bobby Deol, and Disha Patani. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie has already made an incredible Rs 2.2 crore in India since advance sales began on Tuesday.
Without reserved seats, “Kanguva” made Rs 2.2 crore in its first few hours of release in India, while reservations with reserved seats brought in an astounding Rs 5.27 crore. The earnings split shows that there is a lot of interest in the film across all languages and versions:
With Rs 78.31 lakh in bookings, Tamil Nadu is in first place, followed by Kerala with Rs 43.59 lakh. It’s anticipated that “Kanguva” would surpass Suriya’s last film, “Etharkkum Thunindhavan,” which had an advance booking of Rs 4.35 crore, as long as reservations continue.
In “Kanguva,” Suriya plays two parts: Francis Theodore, a contemporary figure, and Kanguva, a mythical warrior known by the same name. An exciting plot in an ancient land is put up in the teaser, which promises an epic saga of resurrection. The tale is given depth by Bobby Deol’s portrayal of the fearsome warrior Udhiran and Disha Patani’s portrayal of Francis’s love interest, Angelina.
“Kanguva” will be released in both 2D and 3D versions and in a number of languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. “Kanguva” will have competition since the period coincides with Amaran’s continued popularity, which stars Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi. Whether the two movies will affect one another’s collections is still up in the air.
