“Actors are loved by the public, but actors admire her” — Mohammed Nagaman Lateef on Ekta Kapoor-led global campaign

Mumbai: In a recent development that highlights the growing international footprint of Iconic Entertainment, its founder, Mohammed Nagaman Lateef, opened up about a high-profile advertisement campaign featuring television powerhouse Ekta Kapoor.

Speaking about the project, Lateef revealed that the ad was created for a South Africa-based travel company, with the endorsement managed and the entire shoot executed by Iconic Entertainment. “We are not just limited to India anymore; Iconic Entertainment has spread its wings globally,” he said, emphasizing the company’s expanding reach.

Explaining the choice of Ekta Kapoor as the face of the campaign, he shared a striking perspective: “Actors’ fans are the general public. Whether it’s Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Shraddha Kapoor, or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan—their fans are the public. But all actors are fans of Ekta Kapoor. You’ll see fans commenting on actors’ posts, but on Ekta’s posts, even actors leave comments.”

He further added that for any brand seeking impactful promotion, Ekta Kapoor remains unmatched. Referring to a past success, Lateef mentioned that one of Iconic Entertainment’s advertisements had already crossed 100 million views, reinforcing their credibility in delivering large-scale visibility.

The latest campaign also brought a unique opportunity for emerging talent. The ad features winners from Iconic Mr. India, including Moha, who is set to represent India at the Man of the World competition in the Philippines this May, and Nandandan Kumar, who will represent the country at Mr. Universe. Lateef described their inclusion as “a moment of pride,” noting that sharing screen space with Kapoor was both an honor and a prestigious debut.

Concluding, Lateef credited the backbone of the project to Aditya Khurana. “All the credit goes to our chairman. From production to scripting to managing talent—none of this would have been possible without him,” he stated.
