Gonda: A grand poetry festival was organised at the historic Town Hall in Gonda on the occasion of Guru Purnima under the joint aegis of Phulwari Public School and Phulwari Pod Heaven, bringing together renowned poets and emerging literary talents from across the country.
The event was inaugurated by Gonda Sadar MLA Prateek Bhushan, LIU Circle Officer Suresh Kumar Mishra, Additional SP Radheshyam Rai, District Inspector of Schools Dr. Ram Chandra, Rajesh Singh, Phulwari Public School Chairman Veer Vikram Singh, Malti Singh, Jaspal Singh Saluja and school manager and event organiser Neeta Singh with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
The literary gathering featured recitations by nearly 101 poets from across India, with the presence of Hindi Sahitya Academy National President and poet Saurabh Jain ‘Suman’ serving as a major attraction. The organisers also provided a national platform to 51 budding poets, while honouring 14 distinguished poets from Gonda for their contribution to Hindi literature.
The evening witnessed captivating performances by eminent poets from across the country, alongside promising young writers whose compositions received enthusiastic applause from the audience. The programme concluded with Captain Kranti Kumar Singh, patron of the event, stating that the primary objective was to encourage young literary talent while recognising the contributions of senior poets from Gonda.
Teachers, staff members of Phulwari Public School, literary enthusiasts and distinguished guests attended the event, making it a memorable celebration of poetry, culture and the Guru Purnima spirit.
